Ski & Board Club

More than $6 million of skiing merchandise will be on sale to the public Nov. 14-16 when the UMass Ski ‘n’ Board Club holds its 45^rd Annual Great UMass Ski ‘n’ Board Sale in the Student Union Ballroom at UMass Amherst.

The sale, which is the club’s largest fundraiser, features skis, snowboards, boots, bindings, goggles, winter apparel, soft goods, movies and everything a skier or snowboarder will need for 2012-13 winter season. All major ski and snowboard manufacturers will be represented, including, but not limited to Burton, Salomon, Atomic, Volant, Rome, Smith, Oakley, Head, Ride, Volcom, Airblaster, The Northface and Columbia. The merchandise is merchandise from four local shops: Competitive Edge, Theory, Ski-In and Fat-Trax. 

The Ski Sale is a great chance for families, as well as students to preview all of these local vendors at the same time, while also taking care of winter sports needs. The fun-filled family event is the perfect way to spend time as a family and explore all that UMass has to offer.

Each attendee who makes a purchase is entered into the 2012 Great Give-Away with over $2,000 in prizes, including lift tickets to Mount Snow, Killington, Okemo, Stowe and many others.

The sale, the largest of its kind in Western Massachusetts, is organized by a team of more than 100 UMass Amherst students who find hosting the event to be a tremendous learning experience in logistics, shop relations and marketing.

Sale hours are Wednesday and Thursday, Nov 14-15 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 16 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Parking is conveniently located in the Campus Center parking garage, located directly across from the Student Union.
