Vermicomposting Workshop

A workshop about vermicomposting. First an introduction will be given to food waste in the United States, showing the need to increase composting in our personal lives. Next will be a presentation about vermicomposting in general. This will include it’s benefits, feeding an care of the worms, harvesting castings, common problems with their solutions, and more.  After this presentation we will move into constructing DIY vermicomposting buckets. A demo will be given on constructing the bucket then attendees will work in small groups or singularly to build their buckets with the help of volunteers.
